Emergency Services Case Study #2
On a Friday morning in late October, torrential rainfall caused a 2500 amp underground feed to blow, leaving commercial tenants on all 25 stories without power. Within an hour of being called, Aschinger Electric's emergency services crew was on the scene, surveying the damage and seeking the best solution. The bus duct was beyond simple repair, and the lead time for new bus duct was months. The cost to use emergency generators to keep the building in operation would have been prohibitive. So Aschinger turned to another solution - working a crew of fifteen over the weekend, they rebooted the damaged bus duct and ran new conduit. All of the tenants in the building opened for business on time Monday morning.
Through a program of thorough testing and inspection, including use of infrared and ultrasonic analysis, Aschinger's TEGG team has since identified and solved several problems before the customer experienced further electrical system failures.
